I have moved to Anchorage and am looking for a mens or coed slowpitch team. I have played every position at one time but am more comfortable and catcher, first, third or the outfield. I am also a power hitter.
Great defensive/offensive player looking for a team to play on - moving to Anchorage at the end of May.
31 year old experienced player of baseball and softball. Looking to play for any type of coed or mens team, the level (i.e., A,B,C,D) does not matter.
I'd say for the past 4 years I have played the outfield and a few games in the infield for 2 different softball teams in Fairbanks, which were Men E teams. As a member of Los Amigos we were Mens E Champions in 2001. I have played for T&D with Earnie Shipman (coach) for the last 3 of the 4 years.
I have been a starting 2nd baseman/outfield for the past 7 years in the amateur baseball league in Fairbanks.
I can play any position but position is not important, I really have no preference.
I have speed and am a great defensive/offensive player and can add depth to any team that may need to add a player to their roster.
I'll be moving to Anchorage at the End of May and will be there beginning the first week of June. I'd be interested to play in any tournaments also.
I just moved to Fairbanks in January and would love to play this summer, somewhere. I'm 22 and played fastpitch for 12 years and slowpitch for 2. Can do everything but pitch. Don't know if it's too late to join up...any info would be appreciated.
Looking for team, must play Mon, Wed or Fri (Tues and Thurs are booked). Possibly looking for a co-ed team for me and my spouse. It has been 5 year or since we palyed last bit I don't think we're too rusty. We also have 2 small children (6 and 4) that may attend games/practices with us.

Here are the two 2008 changes to the rules that will affect Alaska softball the most:
- - - -
Rule 3, Section 1 G: The bat barrel shall be free of audible rattles when shaken. The bat barrel shall not have signs of excessive wear.
Comment: Bat manufacturers suggested that this rule would help identify bats that have started to break down internally.
- - - -
Rule 8, Section 4 F: Slow Pitch Change Women's Open to Women's Slow Pitch
Comment: ALL women's slow pitch classifications are allowed to steal
- - - -
A full list of changes can be found here.
